The Nevadas Escénicas International Festival is a space for meeting, creation, and circulation of the performing arts that has been held since 2014 in the city of San Carlos de Bariloche, Río Negro province, Argentina. Over the course of more than a decade, the project has established itself as one of the benchmark cultural initiatives in the Patagonian region, promoting exchange between artists, territories, and communities from an inclusive, diverse, federal, and international perspective.
For one week, Bariloche once again becomes a meeting point for the performing arts.
The 13th edition of Nevadas Escénicas brings together more than 20 proposals from Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, and Spain, with shows for children, youth, and the general public, as well as training sessions, residencies, and meeting spaces. This edition especially highlights Theatrical Residencies as spaces for research, experimentation, and creation; and the Nevadas Refuges: Meeting, Market, and Networking Hub, which connects those who make, produce, program, and support the performing arts, promoting exchange, circulation, and new forms of cooperation in the region.
A scene that is born in Patagonia, connects with the world, and opens new paths.
