Stage version of the myth Prometheus Bound. Prometheus is chained to a mountain and an eagle eats his liver every night. Zeus, the god of gods, punishes him because Prometheus has stolen fire to give it to men and because he jealously hides from him who will dethrone him. A histrionic actor proposes a novel trick to the audience and asks them to vote by show of hands on whether they want to see a Tragic Prometheus or a Comic Prometheus. It is the responsibility of the majority whether everyone cries or whether everyone laughs.
